No worries on hassling. At the moment, we dont really have the numbers. I've been leaving matt alone due to the xmas / new year etc. Now all thats over I'll have a chat about numbers and requirements and lead times. I will also sort out an order deadline if theres enough of us to join in. For info, ...

Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
Wednesday evening ride anyone? I have never ridden across the newly opened froggat / burbage edges.. so fancy a start somewhere to suit. Can someone suggest a start point? and a 2 hour ride? If not, I'll make something up and update here no worries. If we could start a little earlier, great, if not ...

wtd: salsa mukluk lge. can swap for any of 3 bikes
I'm giving in to temptation and want a large mukluk fatbike frame and fork.
Rigid one. Full bike or preferred rolling chassis or frame and fork.
Willing to swap plus money's either way for a not yet received large rooster f+f. Or a krampus lge or a kona ti 29er 18"

A book on the basics then practice on an area you know. Take the map out and spend a bit of time recognising features and landmarks.
Then it's just practice

Mine is a Borah gear.
I'm not a PORG, but not a giant either 5ft 11in
Bars as an upright yes. Its never quite as high as I want though. I just roll in the side. Not so much fun in the wet.

Seems fast (maybe not as fast as a race king. twas on sale for £23 too Also, specialized work well for me, generally speaking...

Re: favourite way to set your tarp up?
Both nice looking set ups. My tarp dosnt have any tie outs in the middle of the body like those. It only has 8 around the edges. Also, I dont have poles as always tried to stay minimal (I know they're light) as such end up with this http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee320/davekane101/B5B4C158-0ED7-...
