Re: WRT Grid Refs
I have a feeling I might not really end up doing any route planning until the start line

Re: WRT Grid Refs ... are out.
This years WRT GR are now winging their way to inboxes across the globe ... if your email hasn't arrived within the next couple of hours, here's what to do.
Have a look in your spam folder.
Check your 'other' email accounts ... THE ONE LINKED TO YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT.
Check the spam folder of your 'other' email accounts.
Still nothing?
Did someone else enter you? They did, well they'll have the email.
Did you use someone elses paypal account? You did, well they'll have the email.
If none of that results in an email, get in touch: stuart@bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk

This isn't a mistake ... it may just take a bit of planning. I'm sure a prize could be found in exchange for photographic evidence.H'mmmm swimming SN899680?????

Once ive had a look through the maps, ill be pestering people to check my route! Make sure im not going to be too much hike-a-bike.

Re: WRT Grid Refs ... are out.
vaguely exciting, looks like a decent route to be had, also good that there appears to be 3 maybe 4 bothies en-route as well.
Although we are definitely bivi-ing it's good to know that there are a few different options in case it's chucking it.
Having never spent a great deal of time in the vicinity, is their any un-official list of bothies that are not MBA anywhere? or is it a turn up and get lucky sort of thing if you're not a local?

Re: WRT Grid Refs ... are out.
Theres an island in the reservoir about 50m from the shore. Its always been on the list to see if was possible to get across there.Slacker wrote:SN 868568 please enlighten me
Looks like someones given us an excuse
Re: WRT Grid Refs ... are out.
No, that's SN 899680 (the Island) the one Slacker is on about is in the middle of a bog, 1km from the nearest track.
Re: WRT Grid Refs ... are out.
Maybe at another of the grid refs, Stu has concealed his Dinghy
Failing that, perhaps Stuart Rider can bring his pack raft and operate a ferry service
