Firstly I don't know if there's any retro nuts in here !! but the 94' Gary Fisher I've got would benefit from a set of 26" QR tubeless rim brake wheels if anyone could recommend a set to keep in with the retro theme that would be ace, if not what you reckon should I go for ?

Yeah the Revelate harness looks a good'n and yes they are Shimano brakes, may have to go with the Retro mtb after all then which don't get me wrong is a great bike to ride although I've not tried loaded up, Once the house move is out the way I'll sort somet out with right set up to conquer this issu...

Cnoc by Islebike was a great bike for my littlen when he was a similar age good build quality and lightweight may get hold of a reasonably priced second one if you look around
Steer clear of anything with a suspension fork as at that age they wont get the benefit and they just add weight

Alpkit Squalline jacket I bought just after xmas has been great, went on a night ride in the lashing rain and was very impressed with its performance albeit only for 2hrs. Quick shake and it was ready to go again, comfortable and packable in its own rear pocket.

I'm kinda wishing I'd kept my Genesis High Lat 29er, would of been ideal for a bike packing bicycle.
Currently riding a 29er Procal xc bike, 29er Ex Fuel and a Domane road bike which im hoping to fit some 35mm cross tyres on for some adventuring, we'll see.
