Re: Great Orme to Worm's Head

Really cool trip, 4 nights under the stars, great route and company and 2 beach rides to boot. Great spot on worms head last night even if the first cloud all week spoiled the sunset. Left Kev and rode back through Swansea to Afan, now chilling out before riding onto Cardiff tomorrow. Then just have...

Re: MKettle / Meths Experiment.

Great, like my MKettle but always smelling of bonfires, and I always end up filthy, can be a pain as you said. :x Never owned or used a meths stove, would any of the simple home made ones work in this case do you think.

Re: Great Orme to Worm's Head

Hi Ian, really interested in joining you if you don't mind a complete stranger. I've ridden Cardiff to Conway almost all off road before and this sounds like a great return adventure.
I'd just need to decide which end of the country I leave my van if you'll have me :D

Re: FOOD! or to be precise what food

The meusli with milk power in is a great idea. A bag of Trail mix in your own style is always a favourite, go to Holland and Barret and get some big bags of calorie laden nuts, Brazils, Walnuts, add some fruit, Haribo, M&M's it's your choice. On the dehyrated meals front, they are ideal but expe...

Again not solar but an AA battery power pack, easier than making one. http://www.portablepowersupplies.co.uk/aausbbattery.htm Have made my own before but now I have one of these and it's simple, light and cheap and does what it says hassle free, love it. I run my Garmin on it on long trips...

Funnily enough I was planning on checking out the same option this coming weekend as a makeshift cover, guess I'll have to adopt your name of 'Fastfly now ;) , How much per gram is it worth? Photon1 flysheet in its original bag with aluminium pole and two end carbon poles 425 grams, no pegs. pack si...
