Tarps

Post by JamesA »

Hi,

I am after a bit of a weight reduction in my tarp (my old beast is very heavy and takes up far too much room). Unfortunately the solo tarp from backpacking light is no longer available and I can't seem to find anywhere selling a siltarp1.

Anyone have any suggestions? Ideally looking for approx 2.5m x 1.5m and (obviously) light. I've seen the DD Tarp Solo but don't have any knowledge about these.

Thanks,

James

This should fit the bill. 2.5m x 1.5m, 178g and £40.

Good link, as an undecided as to whether Tarps are for me I’ve been looking for information.
This guys site provided some good info, apologies if it’s been linked before or if it’s actually someone on here.

Looks good to me, thanks for finding, although since last post I may have found someone to make me one. Very excited now as either way should be able to reduce weight by alot (I'd be embarrassed to say how much my current tarp weighs!!)
