Re: LOCK -strong and light [so probly not cheap]
my solution is to remove the chain using the quick link and then use the chain as a lock securing the chain with a padlock Pluses are 1. this is cheap 2. looks strong 3. pretty long 4. hardly any weight penalty Negatives 1. You can only fit a small padlock so that will be the weak point 2. might be ...

Re: Trans Cambrian Way ITT
I just rode it W-E and thought it seemed easier than the reverse way - only way I have done it mind- from riding it Personally I would need some persuasion to ride the broken road upwards to the damn rather than the road the other side of the river. I may need to look at my stop being soft sticker f...

Re: Trans Cambrian Way ITT
If you are thinking of riding it, do it now Doing it next Tuesday The climbs on the Dovey to Knighton leg seem more brutal though (especially the Foel Fadian climb). Counting down the climbs was my main brain activity on the way back. And doing it that way considerably more gently paced than you Go...

I can collect from shropshire if its near Knighton as i am doing the trans wales next week and then deliver to near the Gower as I am doing the ride there with my kids in very early august 2. i can do the same but provide a Tacx Flow and computer control unit [ unopened and unused]...

Re: A bit of storage and route ideas required
IMHO it depends on how hard you want it to be in the lakes going across from boot and then up walna scar road from seathwaite with a fully laden bike its definitely type 2 fun and bring some decent walking shoes. that said the other route [ you put up]seems to flirt with the lakes rather than embrac...

Re: Close encounters with the wild kind!
came round a corner to be faced with a buzzard on the road that had killed a rabbit
It then set off towards and they are a big bird six inches from your face wings at full spread and talons out
Ditched the bike to avoid that interface
That is all I have faced.

Lakes one
Mr Munroes as i have paid for it but what is said above is very true - makes sense to ride over to the other one though as part of the gravel ride and might just do that - its not like either is prohibitively expensive

Re: Lezyne Mega XL GPS - A Modern GPS For Bikepackers?
does look good and i would prefer to have an option over garmin as three of mine have just died for no reason* on rides - thankfully never in a critical moment- so i dont rate the company/product that much- speaking to others it seems I am just very unlucky. I would like an alternative and looked at...

Re: GPS advice please!
with the ioffer "garmin" maps we found that you could copy the file over and over again on to multiple memory cards That said I agree with what scots route said [ on another thread] that OS are often too cluttered to be useful and sometimes it better to just have open source mapping- less ...

i cannot tell from that video what is going on but 1. A hole sealant wont seal in a new tyre is not acceptable 2. Try as noted above just shaking the tyre with that part facing downwards to make sure all the sealant is there to see if that seals it Probably be sending it back after first contacting ...
