If they have another hard winter, those routes won't be open. They weren't this summer when we went in late July.

Re: What bikepacking gear have you just ordered/bought?
That cooker looks cooking! Jambo, how did you wreck your gourdon? I ripped mine in its first ever outing following a crash. Have repaired it now but it's nowhere near as robust as a normal rucksack in that situation, most rucksacks would have survived without splitting snagged it on a low branch, s...

A replacement Tiger seat bag from Wildcat Gear, having "misplaced" my previous one, despite having torn the house apart looking for it. Grr. Ah well, and as Beth suggested - it's now guaratneed to turn up, at least. And a funny stem mounted bottle cage called a "Bheesty" ...

I've got a 'least worst' bike, does that count?
I don't get sentimental about bikes, buy them s/h, ride them until they snap or fall apart and then repeat.

i really rate ergon GE1's, if your running wide bars then they change the angle of our hands back round to a more natural position.

~60cm ish long, ~15cm diameter?
Most just seem to get wider as the length goes up.
Any suggestions?

Had plenty of five tens, got the shimano am's, flap doesn't make much difference.
Next on my list is some adidas terrex. Since they bought five-ten they've started using stealth rubber in their outdoor range.

I can recommend Sweet Protection Mudride short because they are hands down the best waterproof shorts I've ever had. Properly cut, really well thought out. Massive vent zips on the outside rear thigh for letting some steam out on long climbs, heavy duty cordura crotch and ass panel which is where al...

Hope this lot managed to find a nice sheltered spot to hole up in, weather was a bit wild when I drove through Princetown on the way home from kayaking this morning.
