Re: Wildlife

I've had a good year for wildlife, including a kestrel, vrass snake (first time Ihad seen a wild snake in the UK). Also rescuing a moorhen chick. Best moment though: Riding through a fairly open path (cyclists and walkers use) with dense ferns either side I heard a rustling as I passed so slowed to ...

Re: For Fatbike Fans

I noticed that the fat biking Europe site is now down. Really feels like the bubble has burst. I hope there is some good news on this at least. Hosting issues (they've hiked up the prices and are being generally a$$holes) and not lack of interest/effort by Damian. I'm working with him to get it sor...

Re: For Fatbike Fans

I feel that I ought to say, you're quite welcome to talk about any type of bike here, even fat bikes. My dislike is personal and shouldn't hinder conversation and debate  No worries. It is more about building a good reference home for the fat tyres beasts...and the bikes

Sort of related I guess, but would there still be interest in a UK based fat bike forum? (seeing as the one many of us used looks gone for good)

Re: Jones complete bike

The Pugsley 2.0 is $1850 complete build. But in the UK is £2200.

I'm guessing the Jones complete, if it ventures this side of the pond, will be the sunny side of £2k easily.

Re: For Fatbike Fans

When I saw this the first thing I thought was how is love to have shared comments on the revised ICT on the old fat bike forum. I really enjoyed that place. Oh well...

Yeah, the rumours were true about ditching the PF BB.

I'd love one to accompany my Pugs.

Re: a tale of 2 plus bikes.

As an owner of 2 Surly's already I can get why they feel so right from the off. My Pugs is still the most natural bike I've ever sat on from the off.

I love the ECR look but also keep admiring the Bridge Club too which has that all rounder appeal of an early MTB in my mind.

Enjoy the new bike Sir!

Re: New bike time

Marin Four Corners seems worth a look and way under budget, look on Google shopping and someone is selling them for £680. £1200 will get you a stonking Arkose. I know steel is real and all that but I bet an Arkose feels as good as a similar price steel bike. Having a 80s/90s retro soft spot for Mar...
