Re: An evening in the Shropshire hils

The bakery is fine with me if you give me a rough idea where it is.

I will still be coming over despite the weather looking slightly sub optimal! I'm sure we can make the best of it.

Re: An evening in the Shropshire hils

Hello, I just noticed this thread and would be interested in joining you if that's ok. I don't ride in Shropshire enough, the lure of the Peak District usually pulls me in that direction!

Re: 3 peaks. Well done

It was nice to meet you at the start Ian, glad you enjoyed it! I was a bit gutted to just miss out on the sub 4hr but had a big crash at the bottom of Ingleborough and totalled my front wheel, luckily I was only a few hundred meters past my supporter Jen with spare wheels :-bd 3 peaks unfinished bus...

No problem Ian, I thought I sent it to the correct address. I've tried again to see if you get it this time.

Re: peak ITT group ride 15th August

I had completed in June, I sent my Gpx file to the address on the self supported site. Did you receive that Ian?

Shame a few more couldn't attempt the route this weekend, I was out in the White Peak today and everywhere was nice and dry.

Thanks for the comments. I have emailed my completion details.

I did the northern winter bivy last year and hope to again this year, could be a chance to put faces to names.

Re: Peak ITT

This route caught my eye some time ago so I decided to mark the Summer Solstice weekend with an attempt at it. My aim was to try and ride straight through but I took a sleeping bag and bivy bag in case things didn't go to plan. Saturday 08:10 saw me leaving the railway bridge in Edale with mist on t...

Re: Winter bivy - northern edition.

Anyone from Sheffield or peaks want to share a lift north a bit? Can probably drive and have a four bike carrier Not sure if you have sorted anything out yet but I will be coming north on the M1 from Nottingham. Re: Lakeland 200 - yet another ITT

To add some balance I enjoyed my tour of this route over 2 1/2 days. I plan to try it again next year at a faster pace so may change my opinion of it then! I like the fact that the route takes in all aspects of Lakes riding and is fairly much a circular route. Black Sail and Scarth Gap are a major f...

Re: A tour of the Lakeland 200

Cheers for the feedback. I had sort of guessed the only answer to an easier time up Black Sail would be getting weight off the bike. I could of took less clothing but for some reason never trust a Lake District weather forecast that says its good and staying that way! Where to start is an interestin...

A tour of the Lakeland 200

I did this on the 10th - 12th July so a bit late getting a post up! Having walked or cycled many sections of the route at some point I had a pretty good idea what it involved and hoped it would break down into 2 1/2 good days riding with time to take in the views and have a couple of relaxed evening...

Staveley overnight parking

I am planning a Lake District trip next month. Does anyone know if you can park in Staveley Mill Yard for a couple of nights? If not can anyone suggest somewhere suitable nearby.

Cheers - Rob
