Choice of doing the 100 or LL200 this time, I think I know which I'd pick...

Me too. Probably the 100 as it looks like a much more enjoyable ride.

I don't know if the 100km route will be the same at this year, there was talk of a different loop 2017. It's a great event.

There is no pressure to stick to the exact route, with no one checking your route upon completion, it's just about getting out there.

It was a great ride, undoubtedly helped by the great weather and all the bluebells and wild garlic being in full flower. As John says, some people were economical with the route  but it didn't matter as that wasn't the point of the ride. Follows just about all the good bridleways in the south to south east part of the Lakes.

Not sure I am available but will enter and see closer to the day seeing as it is for a good cause. Need to get my computer back from menders first though.

I presume it's 100 mile or 200 km options, with the latter being substantially harder despite only an extra 30 miles distance?

Yes and yes , 100 mile is a nice social ride , good low level trails , 200 km is totally hard core hab , that I have failed to get round twice cause I'm too soft haha , both good routes

Ian, I thought you'd already done the Lakeland 200?

"200 km is totally hard core hab"
To be fair, there is quite a lot of quality riding on the route too! The record is under 17 hours so it cant be that bad.
After a very lean 2015, this year we've had two completions, both of them very swift, one getting within half an hour of the record.
