Yep, were alloy. Chap I spoke too knew nowt about them but then stuff was just being unloaded from vans willy nilly.
They did have some carbon risers called "scope" but not Jones style.

Cheeky design pinching not withstanding I can see these shifting by the boatload. Might have just killed the residuals of my loops though.....voodoo_simon wrote:That sounds ideal!ScotRoutes wrote:At £35 I assume ally

Re: Alternative to Jones Loops.....
Pretty sure they do, was looking for that as I'm currently using the Titec riser Jones on my Moonie so wee nipper can fit under them in the front seat.Bearbonesnorm wrote:I take it these have a slight rise? Looks like it in your pic Nigel.

Re: Alternative to Jones Loops.....
Anyone know what width they are?
For £35 I'd be tempted to give them a punt!

Re: Alternative to Jones Loops.....
That was a surprisingly interesting read on STW (somwthing I never thought I'd say)
I've always been a big fan of alpkit, and why most of their gear is either copied or very similar, I mean how many ways are their to make certain outdoor gear, they've been simple, cheap and do the job, no fuss
I can't help feel they're starting to focus less on simple, well known designs, and more on simply picking products out of a catalogue to stick a logo on....real shame
And interesting posts about wildcat on there, surprising to hear that so many people have copied, ahem..developed similar ideas shortly after they did. Must be frustrating being in a position where you have the ideas but still only small manpower and money to protect them. I know the feeling believe me.
Back on topic, how much benefit is there really in the loop design? Given how sought after they are, I found the back sweep felt quite dull compared to my simple wide xc bars, and not as comfortable as using drops.
