No, not a football team - Blackburn are looking for people to become 'Rangers', Ideally you'll be racing the TD this year or be a veteran, in return you get all kinds of benefits, inc' a trip to the US and a new spankly Niner.
Anyway, have a look if you're interested.

Blackburn Rangers?
May the bridges you burn light your way
Re: Blackburn Rangers?
They don't actually say they'll pay for you to go to the US for 'ranger camp' though, do they?
...and you give Blackburn a hell of a lot of social media exposure just through following the application process.
Then even if successful, you get approx £3-4k of stuff (cost to Blackburn 25-50% of that) for doing quite a lot of work writing, filming and photographing stuff.
Frankly I'd rather go to my normal work for a few months.

Re: Blackburn Rangers?
Further reading suggests they are interested more in people out to experience the GDMBR rather than race it.... not certain I'd be 100% happy with switching bikes now 5 months out from it though.Bearbonesnorm wrote:, Ideally you'll be racing the TD this year or be a veteran,

You could get this sorted, race the GD and then ride back NOBO as a recovery ride thouGregMay wrote:Further reading suggests they are interested more in people out to experience the GDMBR rather than race it.... not certain I'd be 100% happy with switching bikes now 5 months out from it though.Bearbonesnorm wrote:, Ideally you'll be racing the TD this year or be a veteran,

They sponsored Iohan (Bike Wanderer) and he's been really appreciative of it I think, but then, any free stuff has gotta help when you're short of cash and trying to ride from north coast of canada to southern tip of chile.
His blog is great anyway. He rode the GDMBR in winter last year, and now he's in mexico.

No problem - what's your bosses name and phone number?GregMay wrote:Sure. Will you tell my employer that for me?
Re: Blackburn Rangers?
Youtube application video....ugh. It was almost appealing until I saw that. I'm presuming that if you make a good job of the north/south route, they'll send you east/west as well given they're asking you about a 2nd route choice.
