DIY pogies

Post by slobike »

Hello,
wanted to try out pogies this winter so I started making my own (based on some online designs). Did some testing with tyvek mockups and made some tweeks before cutting the fabric to fit the bars and here's the result. Did some riding at -1C and they are warm...awaiting for real cold test..winter is comming

Regards

Nice job, was thinking of making some myself. What material did you use?

Good job.
Pogies seem to me to be one of the biggest mark up items going given how simple they are and how much they cost. That said, I would buy mine again if I had to.

I don't think the basic HotPogs are expensive at less than £25 a pair.

I've been using the basic Hotpogs for a couple of years now and reckon they are pretty good vfm.

Cheers guys,
been away with the answer. They are simple 300g fleece lined 500D PU Cordura shell with biasing tape all around for a bit more stifness. The best is that I can fold them down
if the weather is too warm and use just to protect my fingers. Not sure if Hotpog's can be folded...if they use any stiffener?
