The Trek Stache 29+ ... I like it. Apparently it's designed to have fun on, so that'll do for me

The elevated chainstay does look a bit odd but allows for crank clearance and short chainstays. Trek say it's coming in rigid, hardtail and frame only flavours.

Thought something might be coming when Bontrager released the Chupacabra, good grief is it ugly though!

On the plus side it looks like short arses like me would fit that frame

Would the raised chainstay allow the use if a belt drive? It would need a tensioner though I assume.

There's a bit of adjustment in the drop-outs so it can be run SS, might be enough to tension a belt.

Its growing on me but would have benefitted from an EBB to tension the chain for running Hub gears etc

I like ebb too but the drop-outs will allow you to tension a chain for ss / hub gear, etc.

Interesting what they've done with the 1x set up and the CS/ST/BB area. Suspicious of e-stays from 1st time round but this looks more sensible. I like it.

Yep I get that, but for me EBB is a neater solution

Yep I get that, but for me EBB is a neater solution

Could also have allowed for tweaking BB height if you fit smaller diameter wheels?

The tyres are porous so it flows in naturally

I really like it. It's full of clever ideas and looks like you can build it up for any kind if riding - gears or SS, chain or belt, 120 to 140 fork, 27.5+, normal 29 or 29+,. It's got nice short stays and it comes in Stooge blue and purple too.

That spesh is fugly though. Trek, mainstream as they are, make some good looking bikes at least.

Just ordered the last 21.5" of the first batch of Stache 9s being shipped. Been umming and aahing over what to get since I couldn't find a Genesis Longitude in my size. This looks fun.

It's taken Singular so long to sort out the Rooster that even the mega brands are doing 29+

Saw one of the new Stache bikes in the flesh at BigPeaks, Ashburton in Devon on Sunday. I was riding the Devon Dirt ride which is based out of Ashburton.

They did reckon it was the first one in the country. It looks nice, and pretty light too.

I have to say it certainly encouraged me to look at 29+ more closely. They also confirmed that Genesis are making another batch of Longtitude frames which will ship to stores this coming October.

I really fancy one of them, but the pale blue rigid Stache has definitely caught my eye.
