RaceFace use a couple of types of self-extracting bolts.

1. Traditional style crank that needs a crank puller tool like this - https://www.parktool.com/product/univer ... anks-cwp-7
2. Self-extracting bolt that has an internal bolt that you unwind and when it does so it pushes against a cap. For this type you need either an 8mm Allen Key or a 6mm Allen Key, can't remember which fits the inner bolt, the external cap takes an Allen Key 2mm bigger.

Should be and they self extract the crank. They are FO tight mind so give a bit of welly. Oh and they might have used lock tight so mebbes put a heat gun on it for a bit

It'll be the latter. 8mm Allen Key required. Don't remove the "cap" that uses the 10mm Allen key.

I have a RF Aeffect crank on a fatbike and it needs a crank extractor, 8mm bolt then a regular Shimano style extractor. That was specced as an OE crank though. That might make a difference.

Aeffects need a crank extractor (bolt on NDS) but the ride has the self extracting bolt on the DS
