WRT - someone was keeping score.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

I received a nice letter today from the Wales Air Ambulance. It was obviously written by someone with a little more organisational skills than me and a much better memory. It was a thank you for all the money raised by the WRT over the last 10 years (nine really as there was no entry for the first and I coughed up for the T shirts) ... anyway, I had no idea how much money had being donated over the years but I can now tell you that it's £18438.00.

I wanted to pass that news on as in reality, it's those riding that raised the money ... well done :-bd

Impressive, well done to everybody indeed :-bd

And... something for you to be proud of Stuart (and Dee!)

"boils on the bottom of the bikepacking society". Nice one MaM :-bd. Now there's an image to savour. Probably while I'm having dinner, hmm...

As said, huge compliments to Stu and Dee for keeping it all going every year, while at the same time somehow keeping it fresh and interesting and fun :-bd. Highlight of my year.

Who would have thought dossing in a ditch could be so financially rewarding!

Great result and a great event. Continued thanks for to you and Dee for putting on the event.

The thing I like most, is that no one 'suffers' for it. I think the majority of people feel that they get a good return on their entry fee even if the money wasn't going to charity.
