I guess it's possible that other folk have ridden it but outwith the self-supported/ITT guidelines and so haven't recorded it. Or, they're simply flying under the social media radar. I believe someone else is currently on the route but I don't know if we'll ever hear about it through the usual channels.

Yeah, completely agree. Some just do things (under any radar). I usually think this way because I experienced it often enough myself, but logic and experience must have failed me for a brief moment, so thanks for correcting it.ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 11:32 amI guess it's possible that other folk have ridden it but outwith the self-supported/ITT guidelines and so haven't recorded it. That's what I like most about FKT - the part 'known'.
'First known winter ride of HT' would be more apt.

I've tried to be careful when posting on the Cairngorms Loop Facebook page to refer to completions we've been told about and not assume anything about those that go unreported.

Wow. Well done, looks like some tough conditions. Is that the first self supported winter completion?

Annie Le did one in December.
Chapeau to this guy in those conditions though
Re: HT550 2022
Oh okay. Didn't realise she was self-supported. 2 completions in one season after none. Some tough cookies out there. Chapeau.
