I wasn't sure about other reports of folks having ridden it in winter but if Alan says (on IG) so. I can't imagine someone riding it in winter and not letting him know

I guess it's possible that other folk have ridden it but outwith the self-supported/ITT guidelines and so haven't recorded it. Or, they're simply flying under the social media radar. I believe someone else is currently on the route but I don't know if we'll ever hear about it through the usual channels.

Yeah, completely agree. Some just do things (under any radar). I usually think this way because I experienced it often enough myself, but logic and experience must have failed me for a brief moment, so thanks for correcting it.

That's what I like most about FKT - the part 'known'.

'First known winter ride of HT' would be more apt.
