Cairngorms Loop ITT?
Heard vague rumours on Saturday of someone making a CL 300 attempt but nothing on here. Anyone know anything? Would have have been perfect temp and low river levels.

Bloody hell I can't imagine that time getting beaten any time soon!
Re: Cairngorms Loop ITT?
would be interesting to see if he just treated it as a day ride - given he started at 3am it is no more than a long day out really .
and carried kit appropriately to what he would normally carry for a day ride in the lakes rather than a multi day ride.
would make a big difference to your ability to move through the hike a bike and get up and over the steps on the shoulder of an lurg.

I'm heading up for an attempt. Weather's looking good, knee not so much but looking forward to it. Anyone else up there?

He had very little with him when he steamed through our group on the track between Forest Lodge and Dorback Lodge. In fact, if I hadn't seen his tracker trace I'd not have realised it was him

Well done to him. Extremely fast, well under 7hrs per 100km pace. Will take some beating.

Chris has been doing one a year - sub 17hr L200, sub 24 C2C (proper route) and now this. Carrying little but momentum..
