Off over to Crickhowell tonight for a fitting/measuring session with Tom Sturdy of Sturdy Cycles as I am having a custom steel frame built up for this bikepacking marlarky. I'd love to buy a cheap off-the-peg one, but it's so difficult to find anything that fits, which seems like a great excuse to build up a dream frame instead.
Planning to just bolt over all the bits from the full suss 29er and get settled into it over this summer, for some bigger tours from next year.

Go for it! Only ever had a hand built road frame - cost £225 back in 1984.
Better weight than wisdom, a traveller cannot carry
