Stem cell for an DSLR camera?

Post by JohnClimber »

Is there a stem cell for an DSLR camera?
Or how else can I carry my bulky camera on the bike safety without the need for a back pack?

Didn't you just buy a backpack for it?

Also might be some ideas in this thread.

I carried my Fuji in a stem cell on th HTR last year, there was quite a bit of wear to the camera.

I'd want something with more padding of strapped to the bars. I'm be more likely to use a chest harness for a DSLR though.

I use a LowePro top loader. They come in a couple of sizes, I have some straps that attach on the front like a pocket would fit.

There is an Olympus E1/sigma10-20 in there with a spare battery and lens cleaning stuff etc.
I have been looking at a smaller version for my Fuji set up, maybe using the loop attachment that comes with the Sweetroll.

I think AlpKit make a giant stemcell, designed to handle their BruKit. Based on the dimensions of a pack up BruKit, I reckon it would take a DSLR if it was packed neatly, I'd definitely think about some ghetto custom padding inside to adapt the shape of the lens and camera.
