I'm not sure I can buy this, what with the risk of there being a picture in it of Gabes in bib shorts he's worn for three straight weeks.

I have a copy of the first one... Gotta admit didn't get into really, does the writing style get better? I know it's different authors etc!
PS Happy to wing it in the post to someone if they promise to donate a pound or two to http://www.mndscotland.org.uk/ (btw it's obviously been read, and it's slim (95 pages) so I do mean just a quid or so!)

They are variable and fair enough, not everyone who enters is a professional writer, but I think they do get more polished in later volumes. I can live with the cost as it'll never sell a million copies and it has quadrupled in size!Yorlin wrote:I have a copy of the first one... Also, remember the profits go to a very worthy cause.

I'm not in it, I never got any email form Chris Bennet, and no replies. And honestly, I've not really gathered any words together to describe the whole thing.

All proceeds go to the education fund of Dave Blumenthal's daughter Linnea . Dave died a few years ago during the race.Yorlin wrote:I didn't know that! What are the charities?Bearbonesnorm wrote:Also, remember the profits go to a very worthy cause.

Dave Blumenthal died just after Brush Mountain Lodge on the descent to Clark in 2010 (from recollection he was with Aidan at BML but stayed behind when Aidan +1 moved on). I met Lexi B in 2011 and very briefly young Lineaa.
My edition turned up today and I even got a mention in the only story I have read to date.

Order placed. Don't see the point in discounting a book that is for a decent cause.
I'll add it to the pile of the previous 4 after I read it :)
