What dry bags for Gorilla/Anything cages?
Bought some gorilla cages from the shiney new bearbones shop. What size/brand of dry bag do people use/recommend?
I destroy all my gear through use so favour hard wearing over weight.

I've got some old Alpkit ones that I use. Very similar to the Xtra but sized S, M, L etc. I think the ones I use would equate to around 8l.

Cages arrived today.
Ok. 8L is quite a lot isn't it?

It is but they fitted okay. Looking at the Alpkit bags, I'd probably go 5l.Ok. 8L is quite a lot isn't it?

But will my Thermarest fit in it?Bearbonesnorm wrote:It is but they fitted okay. Looking at the Alpkit bags, I'd probably go 5l.Ok. 8L is quite a lot isn't it?
(27cm long by 12cm diameter)
It would be easier if the dimensions on the Alpkit website made any sense!

These dry bags from LOMO are very tough and they're a good shape for cages ... also much cheapness.

Salsa do what look like very nice ones - not cheap at £30 but designed for ANything cages and should fit the Gorillas too. Not sure of the dimensions. Get em at Charlie the Bike Monger (unless Stu sells them, in which case, get them from Stu)
Link here to an article on 5L drybags too.

Ah, yep....that was the thing I was going to ask to have a look at when I was in Charlie's shop earlier!!
Yeah read the article. Those OR one's seem to have been discontinued or are now rocking horse poo.
Bought some LOMO one's for now, will see how I get on.
