looking for a decent lightish xl sleeping bag. always used a snugpak military thing, now need something new.

You got a budget and temp rating in mind Tony? Some of the US manufacturers do roomy XL sized bags ... another option would be a quilt from someone like Enlightened, their long/wide quilts should be plenty roomy enough and given the exchange rate, now's a good time to buy.

Had a PHD bag made up a couple of years ago - It wasn't much more expensive than the normal price

I don't really need anything too warm. -3/-4 will be good. I run hot and sleep hotter.

I'm 6'3, was a 42in chest but now lost weight
I can manage with the long version on Western Mountaineering and Montbell bags, but I reckon you'll struggle if you're 6'5
Something custom from America, or something from PHD might work ok?

Mountain equipment are large compared to most other bags.

I have an XL Snugpak (almost too long for me) and zip in widener section when I want extra room
