I have rode steel now for 10 years or so .
so I thought I would add a ti one in the fleet .
now I will put it away so it wont get dirty

Sweet ride indeed, and I thought the same thing. If pushing the boat out, no carbon rims or stem. Bet it shifts still.

I haven't rode it yet scott,
only a lap around the block 200mtrs tops

I went for the enve fork for no other reason than they look good

and i am a tart
but also i heard that some ti forks can be a tad flexy ,so didnt want to take the gamble and have to change them in the future

I went for
xt 8000 11 speed groupset inc brakes
Thomson seatpost and stem
enve mt fork
hope headset
jones h bend bars
esi extra chunky grips
hope endure wheel set
knard on the front
maxis minion rear
at the moment it is about 24 lb. but you could save a lot more if I changed the tyres as they are tubeless ones and kin heavy .
out of all the parts the tyres were the heaviest items.
the fork comes with its own carbon mudguard which clips onto the forks

trying to decide on a new frame for next season and torn between titanium or 853 really like the easy maintainence of a raw ti frame.

I'm trying to decide between a stooge and a shand I like the versatility of the shand between drive systems, but its not ti and always like my bikes to be as light as possible and biggest saving is in the frame so ti for me has a slight edge in that respect. Another stunning looking frame is field cycles but need to see what there frame costs are and suspect it might just be out of budget!

It seems that there is loads of choice in the bespoke handbuilt frame industry at the moment which is great but also makes choosing harder!

I'd be interested to see what your views on it are, although all the reports on the web are great, probably need to try and demo one somehow? Always seems the dangerous jump on a handbuilt frame your unable to demo one, unless I'm wrong on that one and someone can correct me.

I'm really impressed with the weight of your bike ian, i'm considering running the lurcher SS over winter to see what it's like, only ever rode SS fixed on the road and I pick my routes carefully!

Your shand is lovely and Stu Rider suggested it, wasn't something I'd considered steel, but really thinking about it now.
