I do think I am in for the 100, as I need to get away from visiting family .
I may not rush as I think they are here all weekend

it is a shame I was looking forward to this
my fortune cookie I had last night said ( all my struggles would be over and every thing would fall into place ).
I am beginning to think they do not speak the truth.

Sorry to hear that folks, why the cancellation?

There are still places left in the Borders 350 if anyone is interested and can make the trek north at short notice

Don't panic, the route will still be made available for those who would like to ride it this weekend. A lot of effort was put in to obtain permission to ride the route on ground that is, in part, private with no permitted public access. That permission is still in place, so it makes sense to use it.

The "event" bit that is cancelled is the organisation around a formal start and finish etc - there were simply too few entered to make this worthwhile. Less than 20 people signed up.

As far as I'm aware, you can still camp at Glangwenlais but at a small cost. Previously this would be have been free, and we would have had access to a larger barn for kit fettle get etc.

I will be emailing the route out on Wednesday as previously indicated.

I'd love to do the Borders 350 instead but without a time machine it isn't going to be possible at this late stage.
So given that Ian's comments above are positive regarding the route I am still up for this. Who else?

Are you thinking this weekend, Alan? [Edit: I was down for the 100 - 200 might be doable with a bivvy]

Yes this weekend as planned. Nothing has changed as far as I am concerned. We just need the routes!

Yes...I'm good for this. Depending on my knees, I'll see if I can keep up :)
