Looks like Salsa are announcing a carbon Fargo this weekend.

And for those of us who don't use Friendface?

Edit: Also, I wonder if it will lose the alternator dropouts? Own a Ti one, pre alternator, it's probably the only thing I'd change it for - as in a Ti one with Alternators.

Hmmmm, no Alternator - semi integrated cable runs - LOTS of clearance out back - and what looks like a beefed up back end from a 2015 carbon Warbird. I am intrigued.

That whole BB area's not going anywhere is it?

I assume there's some type of internal shim in the seat tube for the post?
29+? Hmmmm
Looks more 2.3" in the picture.

Definitly looks like 2.3 - 2.8 max.

Having crammed a 2.8 B+ into the rear of my Ti Fargo I can confirm it makes it a very interesting bike.

Post I assume is shimmed or has a wedge type thing going on.

I wasn't saying those tires were 29+, but the clearance could be there? A 29+ carbon Fargo would be one hell of a mile muncher!

I wasn't saying you were ... I was saying, I thought it appeared that there was clearance for 2.3".

Either way, I have zero interest in a 29+ Fargo.

Me neither, in fact, not that much interest in 29+ at all.

Me on that bike, in that dress...... /:)

Salsa would be looking for *another* new UK distributor if word got out. It'd be their Ratner moment. =))

*edit* Just when Issue 98 had consigned the above image to the memory dumpster someone has to come and dredge it up again!

29+ already works in the front of a Fargo.

27.5+ works in the back too. So choose either both 27.5+ Or just rear.

My mild curiosity set me off on the death march that is waiting-for-a-Rooster. I'm never going to be curious again

Once again they've missed a trick. First their new bars weren't called Cowtippers and this isn't called a Cargo.*

Your $2000 does get you a conveniently placed map on the bottom of the downtube!
