LEJOG

Post by StephenW »

Hi all,

Just thought I would let you know that I start riding from Land's End to John o'Groats offroad on Saturday. I'd like to thank you all for the knowledge and gear geekery I've gained by lurking around here over the last 7 months. I'm riding unsupported and solo and will bikepack my way up the length of the country; although I plan to stay at a b&b every 5 days to wash kit etc. Kit choice has been critical to keep weight down so thanks for the indirect advice!

If you are interested in what I am doing you can track my progress at this link:

Or feel free to like my facebook page in the signature block to get daily updates. I will write up the trip on this site when I get back at the end of April.

Happy riding,
Steve

Looking forward to hearing all about this when you're back. I met a couple of women two years ago who were doing it, I'm sure they said their route was around 1200 miles in total.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Hang on! I'm coming with you. I just need to strap my drybag to my bars and stick a couple of energy bars in my jersey ;)

Seriously though, I've now joined Facebook to kepp up to date with your epic trip. Make sure you put the route up on the forum so we can all dream of following in your footsteps some mythical time in the future :)
