Had a few things turn up this week!

First up was my Rab Quantum Top Bag from Polarcherry! Perfect size for me, lightweight and packs to nothing! Looking forward to using it this weekend.



Next up was a tarp from TW Hammocks. I have been trying to get some practice in so i know a little of how to put it up! Stu, your blog post was most helpful



Finally, i got home today to more goodies. An Ocelot from Wildcat which im currently working out what i can comfortably get in there, along with a Glowe and two more drybags from Alpkit! Hopefully i am all set for Saturday/Sunday now.

No but I can ... just picking them up it's obvious that they're not going to be the lightest but something tells me that it won't be important. The one I've ridden certainly didn't 'ride heavily'.

Thanks - just curious. I think a bit of heft isn't a bad thing on this sort of bike. I suspect a Jones steel space frame is a bit heavier.

Somebody handed me a pair of Jones titanium truss forks the other day, and they felt as light as an owl feather (Jones website lists them as 850g).

I'm keen for you to get your bike built up and see what you think of it!

Two stem cells from the lovely people at alpkit. I had never thought of buying one of these until I saw Jim and Paul using them on our Cairngorm's ride when I realised what a good piece of kit they are.
