Bargain. I've got a trek fuel ex (9) too. Lovely bike, does tend to eat bearings though, and there are a lot of them!
One of the reasons I no longer have a full susser. He better start saving his pocket money..

Mr Matt, I sent you a PM (I think). Have I not sent it, you not got it, you've sent me a reply that I've missed, or something like that?

Gwyn the post brought me a pair of these, not had chance to try them yet as I've spent the last 2 days coaching members of a rather elite regiment ... I can't say anymore or I'd have to kill you, however they must have been very hot in their special headwear

Gwyn the post delivered a custom tarp this morning. While most 'single' tarps have a length of 2.2m - 2.4m this one is 2.8m long which gives much more coverage when set up as a half 'mid. Tips the scales @ 235g inc lines and stuff sack.

Apologies for the shoddy set-up but I was excited and rushing.

It's lighter than I expected, I was thinking it'd be nearer 300g considering it's got 3 mid-point tie-outs.

Obviously been a PORG helps with the coverage but I'd say even a 6 footer could fit without head or feet touching the sides ... something you can't do under the more usual lengths.

Got myself a new track pump the other day - a Lezyne alloy dirt drive, or summat. Seems to have a lot more oomph than my tired old Joe Blow anyway.

Today, some new Bikepacking shoes*

*if such a classification exists...

Edit: also over 200g lighter than my old Shimano ones, which is a pleasant surprise.

I like pearl izumi stuff, definately rate them. Not tried shoes yet tho. How's size/fit compared to shimano? My feet are a nice size 41 shimano!

I'm also a Shimano 41, but was advised by zigrat to size up, which I did and a size 42 is a perfect fit.

Got a Revelate Viscacha delivered yesterday, wow, massive capacity, really stable, plus the mesh pocket that goes on top behind the saddle, really handy. No more dry bag faffing.

Panaracer comet 29" 2.1 hardback tyre from Evans for my forthcoming borders 300 miler. I did order the 2.25 which was £17.99, they sent me the 2.1 which should have cost £26.99 so I have saved some cash as I'm happy with the skinnier tyre. Gonna put that on the back and a 2.2 race king on the front which I already have. .
