EWE 2014

Post by Richpips »

I've just sent my letter of intent to Aidan, which currently will make a grand total of 3 competitors.

Is anyone else thinking of giviing it a go?

I considered it but with finishing once the route had gone through Cannock, not sure I would have the time to do the whole thing.
Definitely out now though with my knee troubles.

It goes past my house as well. Need to pull my finger out and send through a more 'interesting' section through Halifax.

I was seriously considering it for a while, but work has just become very busy, so i can't take that much time off at once. Now planning some other long rides that can be done over long weekends instead.

Good luck!

Seriously though; Gunther Desmedt was expressing interest and was asking Aidan about start dates/times etc. on Twitter so that might be one other.

EDIT: Scratch that he's riding the transcontinental, it may well be just you and Aidan.

I don't think Aidan is riding.

If I finish I'll be atop the podium. :-bd

You've still got Aidan's record to aim at, so you'll be fine, I'm sure ;)

Hello all... Yes, Rich is currently the only brave soul on the list.

I've got other aims this year: The Yukon 1000 canoe race http://yukon1000.com/y/index.php, and trying to get over the cost of the Iditarod.

It will be great if Rich can make it and keep EWE alive!

There will be some minor route changes to take advantage of my greater knowledge of Exmoor, and to fix a few bits that didn't work out last year.

I actually thought the bit in Calderdale was good. Lots of sneaky little bits of fun trail around the urban centres. But route ideas are always welcome.

Yes, please keep EWE alive! I enjoy reading the exploits, and whilst definitely not this year, and unlikely not next, I'm keeping it on my radar :geek:
