Ooh, that's a good idea. I'm keen to avoid bladders as I imagine they'll be easier to puncture, filling them up is a faff and I can't just lob it in the dishwasher on my return.
Filling is a faff depending on design IMO. The ones with a big open top and slidey plastic clip thing work better than the screw top ones and they are also easier to clean.
All you need to do is stick in the freezer when you get back. I wash mine out about once every few weeks.

I won oe at the last There N Back event after finding one of the gnomes. I think it works better for kit than it does water bottles... full ones anyway.

Very true, mine also live in the freezer. The filling aspect was regarding getting a 2-3 litre bladder under a small tap/sink or as in the case of the bb200 passing my bottles to a friendly bar maid. ;)

Big savings on Paramo this morning. I find the Velez superb from Autumn, though winter and Spring.

Planet X have a sale on with some crazy reductions. Looks like they're liquidating stock as numerous items are up to 80% off. We'll worth a 10 minute perusal with a brew!

Field and Trek, Karrimor bivi bag £25, Karrimor down gilet £26, Karrimor hooded down jacket £45, I have one and at that price you can't go wrong really, keeps you warm and packs down small enough, could be a bit lighter though. Very tempted by the gilet.

I hope they make the keyboard come alive!

Top tip though, it's good to find baggies that aren't black or strangely patched with primary colours!

Mart - ooh sleeping bags! Must hide my wallet again

Say goodbye to sweaty bollocks and bag yourself a pair of 100% Merino wool boxers over at Sport Pursuit. At 12.90, they shouldn't be missed! I don't work for SportPursuit, but I do get a fiver of my next order if you buy. They've loads of Merino tops and long johns too.

It sometimes takes up to 3 weeks for the stuff to arrive but for the prices and the great brands, it's worth the wait. Got myself some nice wooly undies at last as I've decided to ditch the padded shorts on longer trips.http://www.sportpursuit.com/join/Meraid_Griffin_4d787a

Happy shopping. :-bd
