I've got a bottle mounted along the near-level top tube of a bike and predictably the water sloshes about a lot. I tried cutting an old plastic pop bottle into a sort of tabbed tube and put it inside the bike bottle but it didn't really change things much. I think a screw thread shape would be better but not so easily done. I've seen a sort of plastic wool mesh used for this, any other ideas or tips that don't include adding lots of dodgy particles to my water?
I can't help, but equally couldn't help wondering what was out there already and found this, which perhaps seems over-engineered but offers an alternative solution: https://smartshake.com/en-gb/products/runbottle-black
Bulk liquid carriers just use a series of baffle plates. Not sure how you'd squeeze them into a bottle though... I guess if you could cut suitable shapes out of flat plastic with four tabs on them (and a hole at the bottom), bend the tabs then shove them in?
