Looking to attempt Lakeland 200 next month. It will be midweek. Where would be best to park my van up for 2days around start in Staveley ?
Thanks
Wilf's Yard is now all pay and display
I left mine in the layby here overnight the other week: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7kjy5KkJq818yT9Y7 Only houses/businesses on one side, so doesn't feel cheeky. There's plenty of on-street parking away from the centre of the village so you shouldn't have too much problem.

There's a parking bit off the lane towards Kentmere (but before you leave the village) which always seems to have a couple of campervans in it, but I'm never sure whether they're just parked near the owners' houses.

Northwind's suggestion is a good one. If you'd prefer out of the village, there's the 'old road' near Ashes Lane

Thanks all, some good options there. I like to get to places by train but would be difficult to plan this as really not sure how long it will take me to complete Lakeland 200. Two days is optimistic, three more realistic.

That's where I parked/camped for my LL200 and for the Winter Jennride too.

I'm not far off the route west of Keswick if anything goes pear-shaped and you need some help. Great conditions just now.
