As it is currently, a deft roll avoiding contact with wet grass. Needs improvement/poles perhaps.

Nice! Let us know how you get on.

I got a card game called Skyjo that some friends introduced us to at the weekend, and a new fully-featured cutting-edge bike computer:

Emma Kingston Bikepacking Wales book arrived, got it 2nd hand for £6. Obviously someone didn’t like it but I’m happy with that as it’s got some nice weekend routes in it :-bd

Almost a treat to get a guide book with routes near where I live!

2nd hand Element Bolt bought cheap off fleabay. Didn't come with a mount, so not as big a bargain as I thought. Still cheap enough to be worth a go.

So as per the Bargain/Ripoff Alert Thread round the corner, I'm a bit deflated (oh what a wag Reg) about my mat. It's pretty old now and I finally decided that a patch on a patch on a patch on the mat (yes, third patch layer) is going above and beyond in the repair stakes.

However I hate chucking things away until the situation is totally irretrievable, so I went ahead and bought the Exped repair kit. When I said it was twenty quid, I'd omitted to notice the extra "1" at the front of the price - £120. Jaysus. Still, a repair is always worth a try. Also, there was a free gift with it! And that was the clever bit as it turned out.

What was the clever bit I hear you cry. ("Reg, what was the clever bit?" Thank you, I'm glad you asked that). Well the clever bit, the clever bit was that the free gift is - an Exped mat! Brilliant. So I'll now repair the old mat with the £120 repair kit, and now I've also got a spare mat! And lime green too (far limier than the photo)- my favourite colour, he says, desperately trying to convince himself and everyone else that this is indeed the case which it isn't. Still, third off eh..

Some Fomapan 400 5x4" sheet film, ten near mint double dark slides, a Paterson Super System 4 tank, a MOD54 sheet film holder and some developing chemicals.

No, I only really wanted a repair kit; the one I clicked on said it cost £20, actually in retrospect it was £120 and I'd misread it as £20, and when it arrived today there was a mat in the parcel as well! Must have been a special offer or something  .

 "have you got any crisps or toffees please?"

Back to the mat repair kit  : I'm really not keen on the Schnozzle way of inflation either. It's just unwieldy. Like trying to play bagpipes maybe. Perhaps instead of trying to wrap my arms round it and squeeze, perhaps I should just lie on top of it and roll around to get the air transferred. No, I'll stick with my mini-pump thanks.
