With a pair of 5-10 Kestrels. First pair and a bargain at Sportshoes. Seem plenty wide and quite chunky, but a bit stiff in the soles...

A 29x2.6 vittoria barzo and a 2.35 flavoured Barzo

Just got the fun part of tubeless faff this weekend.

The 2.6 looks bigger than what I was expecting, glad I didn’t get one for the rear as per my original plan…

They were, ordered on the 12th. Original original plan was to go for a Barzo/mezcal combo but the mezcal was taking ages to come in to their stock, so cancelled that and went for a more wet weather setup.

Meant to post this last week when it came.

Small piece of carbon with inserted pin to convert my Hex-peak Mini carbon pole to a tarp pole when I want to just use a tarp instead.
Thanks Stuart :-bd

Scrolling slowly I only saw the first photo, and thought that pole would be really handy for those occasional 100mph+ wind and rain 'ultra low pitch' scenarios.

Or maybe Sean could request one for Ralph's normal tarp pitch?

Just noticed you're an MK (wo)man. I'm down in Leighton Buzzard. One drawback of our area for bivvying is the racket from all the roads, airports and railways. Dark skies it isn't. Had any decent local bivvies? One ambition I thought of (for about ten seconds) was to try and bivvy undetected in each of MK's 'grid' localities.

Five years waiting to post must be a record too, welcome to the bearpit  .

Yes, MK man (Bletchley) so not far.
Was in LB this morning dropping the wife off at the bus stop near her dad's old bike shop
Didn't realise I've been on here that long!! On many other forums also for a daft amount of time.

Don't get out very often at all, usually once a month with the C+CC lightweight campers group and mainly in tents.
Working nights truck driving doesn't help.

New bike bags, and just in time for the WRT. Should be able to pack some taps along with the kitchen sink!

I recognise them. Lovely folks to deal with. I have a half frame bag which got designed and delivered in no time. Really like it...

They certainly are. These bags are a match to the full frame bag they made me last year.

... and dropped of some straps and a rear top tube bag. Been after one of those bags for a while, so picked one up when I decided I needed some straps.

... and also dropped of a pair of saddles. Was expecting them last week, but it turns out one was on back order and I hadn't noticed. Too late in the day to risk running one of them at the weekend in Wales. So now I just need to figure out how to test my bottom on them without bolting them to the bike.

...and dropped off a cf tube to replace the cracked seat tube on the bamboo bike, which has been wrapped in an unflattering FibreFix bandage for the last 12 months or so.

Assuming I can figure out how to do it, the chances of my dying with shards of carbon fibre embedded in my arse just increased considerably.

What do you think of the restrap straps? Was looking at these myself as an alternative to voile

Dropped off a Selle SMP TRK saddle - definitely not a racing saddle but hopefully it’ll be comfy
