10/02/23 73.1kg
17/02/23 72.5kg
24/02/23 72.8kg

Weight was post pre-run banana because I forgot to weigh myself before. It's half term so my eldest's sleep patterns are all over the place so a small gain wasn't unexpected. I was curious so I weighed myself after the run too and was 72.0 - this tells me that my weight fluctuates quite a bit and I need to take water on a longer run.

After a mostly disciplined week food-wise and riding most days, nice to see some good progress. I’m chuffed with that but now need to ensure I don’t get complacent (been there before!) and slip backwards.
Great going bud ! that's gotta be nearly a stone! Keep it up
Thanks mate. Looks like you’re doing pretty well yourself. Keep fighting the good fight!

Finally managed to shoehorn a ride into my silly busy schedule of work, hundreds of children (3) and perma-injuries :-bd

40 of your finest Kms around a lovely lake - I'll take that!

T-shirt and shorts weather too, result!

Only my 4th ride since mid-November (and zero other exercise) - this ankle injury really has knocked me for six.

Well done Gairy. Keep it up mate. I'm on my 5th week of sciatica (2 rides briefly) and about 5 weeks of a nasty chest infection before that in November. Brief stint of about 2 weeks in which I managed a 100 miles mtb riding for charity :-bd

I'm gonna keep pushing and so are you. What lake was it btw

Lake Annecy.

I didn't want to say as any sympathy for my situation seems to evaporate when I mention riding in lovely places.

It's a lot less exotic when it's only an hour away from home.

All on cycle path and road.

It's great that it's almost exactly 40km / 25 miles for a single lap (and always a lot warmer than us)

I've wondered before if sometimes the weight loss ( or otherwise) is a week behind the saintliness of the eating... eat nowt lose very little , next week eat bad , lose weight, following week, eat better, put 2 stone back on... that's how it seems to me anyway.

Slow and steady, best way there is in weight loss. Good going bud ! You're a little ahead of me I think and we started from a similar point. But it's not a race. :)

Target - 89kg ish
Jan 1st 100kg 15st 9.5lb
Jan 12th 98.5kg 15st 7.0lb
Jan 19th 97.7kg 15st 5.5lb
Jan 26th 96.84kg 15st 3.5lb
Feb 2nd 96.84kg 15st 3.5lb
Feb 9th 96.0kg 15st 1.75lb
Feb 15th 95.5kg 15st 0.5lb
Feb 22nd 95.02kg 14st 13.5lb
March 1st 95.75kg 15st 0.7lb
:(
I think this sort of backs up my "1 week lag" theory. No big nights on the beer, been 'ok' not brilliant but watching what I ate, so somewhat disappointed to back into the 15's again :(

Still doing the routines and now on a 48 day streak on the 10,000 steps
Cycled 51 miles in the last 7 days so still beating my 40mile a week target. Only 27miles miles behind where I should be for the year ...the gap is closing, down from 38 last week.
Onwards ....

You're right Escape Goat, though I've gone way off the rails the last few weeks and with hospital stuff on Friday that will knock me back I'm thinking I'll just reboot on Monday...

Yes. It really is.

If you quit now, you’ll soon be back where you started. Don’t forget that then, you longed to be where you are now. Slow is healthy. Very healthy. Keep up the great work.
