Creaking Brooks Cambium.

My Brooks Cambium has started to creak quite loudly. I've made sure the bolts are tight, but it's till noisy. I've considered adding some kind of lube to the interface points, but before I do this has anyone fixed this problem in the past?

How old is it? In the past with mine the creaking is the sign that it is failing at the nose. Is these any sign of cracking at the nose? Took maybe 6 months or more to go from creaking to a failure.



It may of course be something completely different, some people have used a light oil underneath at interface with the support frame.

Strip it down and the seat post area, clean lightly re grease and it solves it for me
