Re: BB News
Ah yes I forgot... another coming now then, sigh. Looks like you'll have a permanent Reg SAE on the mantelpiece from now on, bad luck .

The song lyric is beyond me, even with the help of Google (not that I'd have claimed the prize that way, that would be cheating)

Re: BB News
Am lucky it's on me shelf . And that I have similar tastes to Stu . Bit too slow a track for me but still iconic. Picture sleeve one would set you back a bit of cash now....thenorthwind wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 10:00 am The song lyric is beyond me, even with the help of Google (not that I'd have claimed the prize that way, that would be cheating)

The only thing that came to mind was Sly and the Family Stone with Family Affair.thenorthwind wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 10:00 am The song lyric is beyond me, even with the help of Google (not that I'd have claimed the prize that way, that would be cheating)

They were on an 80s music program we watched on telly at the weekend but they played Israel instead which has one of the greatest intros everRIP wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 10:05 amAm lucky it's on me shelf . Re: BB News
It appears I've won a little prize then, which is appreciated. But since I won one in the same comp a while ago as well, it would be friendly to pass it on to either the runner-up or, say, one or other of PeterS or KevH who both put up with me on the Rude Placenames Tour the other week and deserve a medal. I tossed a coin and it came up "kevs" so perhaps it could go to Kev if Stu hasn't already posted it. This is on the condition that the prize is not:
a/ a mint copy of said single
b/ a brand new Jones or Stooge bike

Re: BB News
I can do that for you Reg. it's only a Ti Fargo.
May the bridges you burn light your way
Re: BB News
Good job it didn't come up "Pete's", I've already got far too many Ti bikes. Bloody things last a lifetime you know....
Very kind thought though Reg

Re: BB News
(I guess it's only the Dinky toy model of a Fargo so I'm probably OK).

Re: BB News
That's a very kind thing to do Reg in the grand scheme of things it wasn't to bad having to put up with you for a few days
There is a possibility that I do have the picture sleeve version of that single very much doubt that it is in mint condition if I do though .
If the Fargo is coming my way Stu I could pick it up at the weekend save you having to post it

Re: BB News
Email just received, latest issue. An absorbing read as usual.
Who's Dawn though, is she a new member? Sounds like she had a good time in Scotland anyroad.
PS> I know who sang the lyrics but I've probably missed the boat. Load of monkee business anyway these quizzes . Superb link back to an enjoyable BB event though!

Re: BB News
D'you know, there's a place called Dawn of Day on the Wales/Herefordshire border near Skenfrith. Great name for a small hamlet. Just thought I'd throw that out there
