Yeah, I might as well too at this point.
Re: Cabin Fever 2020
So was chatting briefly with Duncan about this.
I really don't know if it's even worth booking a (cancellable) flight as I find it highly unlikely it's happening this year either. Probably a bit more likely than WRT (as it's much smaller scale), but still... probably not.
Sigh. Really didn't think we'd have all made such a hash of things when this got postponed last year.

Re: Cabin Fever 2020
Sounds more reasonable for an international mass participation event. Sure some will happen this year, they did last year after all, but things are gonna be far from normal for some time yet.
Johnson is starting to promise we can all have a summer holiday.... that makes me highly nervous
If you are going through hell, keep going.

Yeah, probably right.
I'll leave it, probably wont cost much to get something last minute in the event things improve anyway.

So with today's confirmation that the first date international travel will be possible (for leisure) is 17th of May, that's Cabin Fever out for 2021 for those of us in the UK (at least those of us travelling via England).
Not surprised, but still slightly disappointed.

Re: Cabin Fever 2020
I haven't ridden my mountain bike since October. It's thick clay here that gets trampled into ankle deep mud by horse riders as soon as it rains. By December the horse riders have usually fecked up the ground so badly they can't ride on it. In a normal winter I'll pop the bike in the van and drive the 35 miles each way to Thetford Forest a couple of times a week, obviously that's out of the question at the moment. The only riding option left is to mix it with the cars, not something I like doing.

Re: Cabin Fever 2020
Luckily I have planned the group start of the Spanish Divide for the 28th of May, there's already plenty of interest from local Spanish riders and Steve Heading has booked flights which, I think, were about €30 each way plus bike. It's 9 days, 1,200km and 18,000m uphill this year with a largely new(but recced) route. So with today's confirmation that the first date international travel will be possible (for leisure) is 17th of May, that's Cabin Fever out for 2021 for those of us in the UK (at least those of us travelling via England).
Bring your climbing legs.
