... at least I know the answer to the bridge question now
Is that the bridge after hay on wye (where the stream could turn into a river)... whats the answer you found please sir
Like all good pantomime villains Shaf, he's behind you
It's hidden in the undergrowth about 2m downstream, a hefty footbridge with metal tube railings. Easily seen from the 'other side' but totally hidden from the direction you would have approached it! Raggedstone will hopefully post a picture...
Aha.. so I basically want to (hypotehtically speaking off course) walk left (downstream being the way the water is heading right sorry) for just 2m. Knew there was something fishy somewhere about there...
I dont remember it being such a big crossing (I know... its still not in everyone else's books) and I definitely didn't see that bridge. Wonder how many bushes you'd need to jump through to get to it!!
Great write up...and love a good spreadsheet. Got a cracking vid of the motorcross lads riding up the HAB forest section, one even fell off twice it was that tough!

But it's in front of you not behind you......
The pic is looking back after crossing the beck.
Something makes sense now. When I got farther up into the HAB (for me, not for most, I really should evaluate my weight!) and looked back, there was an elderly pair stood on that very bridge. From my viewpoint (and state of mind - focussed on riding and not looking back) they looked like they were stood at a gate but now I can see they must've been stood at this bridge...
Which means, to find said bridge I'd need to walk right, just before entering the stream(y river)... Voila. Thanks (to whomsoever it may concern)...

Sorry Steve, all the current bonkersness has provoked me into taking any and every opportunity for a bit of levity
