Plaid shirt and dangling mug, used to be a beard but i think the tache is in favour with our hipster variants now...

Awww. Poor hipsters. I think an arrogant and aloof air of superiority and blatant one-upmanship are more in vogue these days. Especially as these mustachioed twa*s think they invented bike touring/packing.

I forgot, more likely is very rich parents and /or a massive inherited rental portfolio and infinite trust fund. Plus a truckers cap, maybe an obscure band vest, Jean shorts, smug grin. However this is sometimes hard to see behind the massive wizards beard.

I must say 99.99999% of folk I’ve met or ridden with are great. But there’s always one.
So with a less grumpy reply to the OP. I’m going with the old obvious favourite of flappy lumberjack/ plaid shirt.

Yeah, come on people it's waaaay to early in the week to wheel out a panda and besides, I'm now thinking we should perhaps introduce the wearing of braces. I'm sure there's numerous uses for them.

What's the problem here? Isn't it just varying degrees of piss-taking?

My braces could be used for lashing a growler to my handmade marmot skin seat pack?

Well, I initially thought that was the case. Apologies if anyone’s badly offended.ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:34 pm What's the problem here? Isn't it just varying degrees of piss-taking?

One would just hope that people would have better things to do than look down their noses at other people.ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:34 pmWhat's the problem here? Isn't it just varying degrees of piss-taking?
Unfortunately, most of that is driven by insecurity.

As a person "of a certain shape", I find braces very useful when wearing long cycling trousers, as manufacturers just don't seem to make any with the right combination of waist size/leg length, for me, and braces just keep everything in place.
For some reason, I don't have the same issue with shorts (apart from one pair)

I quite like the look of these Polaris ones, apart from the length...
