... at the Roadmender. Hoping to find some shed or derelict building afterwards, but - don't hit me, don't hit me - will take tent as backup as it's easier to hide a Brompton in it rather than under a tarp. Although I suppose I could tie some string round the Brommie and my big toe in case someone tries to filch it.

Bad luck CP, yes I guess all that in 24 hours might be pushing it  . Shame not to see you. Aye 'tis indeed the imposing Ms Fife. After rediscovering them a few years ago I've seen them a couple of times (including The Roadmender already, and Harpenden Public Hall of all places). Also went a bit mental on ebay and sorted meself out with all their LP's ('all' being not many of course ) and most singles - including Revillos stuff.

So, as a consolation prize, are you in for Blyth Power at Hitchin?? Princely sum of eight quid to you guv, for 3 hours of entertainment including support by The Astronauts (*) and The Metatrons. Since I'd like to partake of a couple of sherberts I need to find a bivvy spot (very) nearby but can't come up with much - despite living there for 8 years in the 80s (in Florence Street in the 'Front Line' ). Maybe my mate Big John who bought my gaff off me and is still there might let me kip in my old back garden!

'Reg'

(*) but sadly not Man Or Astroman - one of my all-time faves. Saw 'em once at The Garage. Ever seen them Mr Barter?

Considering exploiting a BaM loophole, Reg? :geek:

I've just twigged that the venue is about 100 yards from my old hovel so the game could be afoot!

Maybe CP actually is my old mate Big John, which would be utterly hilarious. Especially since I've sadly not seen him for 25 years.

I worked at the Roadmender for 3 years at the end of the nineties - great venue and fun times!

Enjoy the gig and good luck finding a non-sketchy place to get your heads down after

If it were me I think I'd be heading waaaaay out of town (unless you hide in plain sight and bivi on the Racecurse :-bd )

Bugger, I have just looked up when this was and I've missed it!

How'd it go Reg?

Back there again in May? If so i'll put it in my diary and buy a ticket.

Envious! How was it RIP?
Had a crap day at both jobs today. Wish I had got car sorted. Heating system still not working. Can't find problem with fans and heated rear screen. Must be a secondary set of fuses in a zx away from main fuses under steering column. After all...it is french! Plus Central doesn't lock properly, not important, nothing of value in car! RBBB.
