Conditions in Northern Colorado (Steamboat) looking a bit sleety and cold. It's 2C in the village at 6900ft so must be snowing properly up higher at 10k. Sofi could begin circumnavigating Diamond Peak later today (local time), going to be some fresh white stuff up there at 3000m!

My ex father on law always used to say "only boring people get bored". How true it is, I don't know but maybe it kind of goes hand in hand with
Boredom is mostly a reflection of your state of mind rather than objective truth of something?
I resent that comment, I’m a boring person but I don’t get bored.

Mike's record is back in front now.
i been waiting for this comment... Last night before going retiring to bed I was gonna make that observation/prediction that he'd be ahead of JK by morning. But thought best not to throw random predictions about
Glad he's back in front row and well done all them...

Tea Boy is rolling again, I think his problem is he expected to much more towards the pointy end of the race. He says he's now touring not racing.
Maybe he just came overbiked and hence the full-capabilites off road "bicycle" was a but underwhelmed??

Is it just me or is SS slowing - Josh K looks to be catching up, and has been for most of today.
Could be he’s hit some snow? Although you’re right, josh does not seem to have slowed as much on the same section. I wouldn’t want to get caught at 10k ft tonight in those conditions!

I think he is slowly reeling him in [ over the race] but its hard to say, on an individual snippet if its weather or terrain that has closed the mileage gap but not the time gap.
Is there a website giving out time gaps at certain locations ?

A lot to go yet, Josh has a lot of knowledge of the southern part of the route.
As for bored, not something I experienced until the last 50 miles.
Thinking the same about Josh Kato, but Sophiane is so tough. Edit; 4 miles between them as Sophiane arrrives at Brush Mountain Lodge. Blimey!
Ughhh the only boring, but not boring, bit of the route. 50 miles of straight tarmac with ONE slight bend. Mass locust civil war going on the asphalt with added Tarrantulas every 10 feet. I had to ride there and back to H as well as no lift. Bonkers end to the ride.
