Almost glad to have the biting things back!

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

So the sun is still out and it feels like the height of summer. Who's making the most of it ?

There's a few folk out already and I know a few more that are planning to be ... what are you doing ? I'm guiding today and tomorrow so sadly there'll be no overnight trips

Family MTB trip up to NyA for me - no bivi but we are using our camping van if that counts!

It's October and I can't believe that at 11pm last night I was getting my bivvy set up on top of Kinder Scout in shorts and t-shirt! Pics to follow when i get 5.

So, as free time leading up to BB200 is becoming increasingly difficult to find I decided that the only way of getting a ride in with some decent miles would be to start early. I headed off at 4:30 this morning down the Wayfarers Walk towards Winchester. Fantastic 5 hour ride and back in time for elevenses :D

Yea it really is quite hard to believe that the picture below was taken in Oct. Two weeks earlier, I was in the same spot getting beaten to a pulp by hail and 60mph winds. Makes it even stranger when they tell us it'll also snow in Oct
