Post by Scattamah »

Looking for recommendations on pro bike fit....west midlands area. Could travel further afield if there's someone who will nail it perfectly first go without charging me a kidney.

Lots of roadies (only know cause they live in my street) use Fred Williams in Wolverhampton mate ,it's not your normal run of the mill shop ,been there for years since I was a nipper and has a very good reputation ,give them a ring and see ,then when your done I'll take you over the chase so you can see how unlucky I am to live up here

I’ve no recommendations but would go with someone old school and experienced rather than than one of the newer high tech automated bike fits.

Sarah at the Pedal Station, Curborough nr Lichfield has just done my bike fit. She knows her stuff. I'd give her a call to discuss it.

Mike Veal at Bike Dynamics in Leamington Spa did mine. Was about £125 for the road bike and another £70 or so for a 2nd bike (mtb). Plus then about £500 in new cranks for all the bikes......

Sorted my knee problems though. He uses video and some software to measure angles of joints etc, and an overall assessment - took half a day, then a return visit for the 2nd bike and to confirm settings.

You can stop at mine if you need to (turn it into a bivvy trip)

Hello all.

I would heartily recommend Mike Veal at Bike Dynamics .

After 15 years of knee problems and many physiotherapists and other bike fits , Mike was the person who sorted my knees out. His approach is systematic , experienced and thorough. He literally saved my (riding) life and I wish I had known about him years ago.

If its performance stuff you're after he's excellent at this too.

Well worth the money and the travel time.

Does this mean Lois is getting laid up.... in the words of Victor Meldrew... I don't believe it!

No...but Lois' owner is tired of being laid out cause he keeps injuring himself. And not because he fell off. Need to get rid of the 6 degree float and go back to 0 as well.
