Thank you for the tyre offer thought - appreciated - hah, "retro" indeed . TBH, I invested in far too many 26ers a while ago, which are festooning our shed like rubbery Xmas decorations. Well I need to be prepared for when the flag finally goes up and the country descends into the abyss of misplaced diameters .

Some Hope Hub pawl springs. Probably cost more than god by weight
Ooh, getting a bit existential there Dave. I suppose quite a bit of praying goes on when they start their death rattle in the middle of nowhere.
One of the (many) benefits of living oop north was that when my 5 year old Hope pawls died due to neglect, I popped the wheel into their HQ in Barnoldswick and 15 minutes later was given back a repaired and regreased hub foc.
Postie (in shorts and santa hat ) delivered silk inner socks and inner gloves from ebay, some no-tie elastic laces, a pair of trainer insoles, and pair of Dexshell merino lined waterproof socks - will be interesting to see how they compare to my old seal skin ones...
And a vw bay window camper outer sill which will (with some fettling) work a treat on my Vauxhall midi camper...
Not so much a gravel grinder.... more a gravel (mud and tarmac) groveller...
Following my 'can you combine different air mats' thought, decided to get myself an insulated mat. 511g on the scales and $61 from massdrop. Unfortunately stung for another £17 customs charge but nevermind. Still good value so long as it lives upto it's claims.
On one hand I feel bad not having bought a "real" one, on the other I've got the tarp, poles and ti stakes for about £65 (and it turns out the pegs that came with the tarp wren't all that bad afterall). Test run this weekend hopefully.
And after last weekends misery with pathetic leaky sealskins gloves I ordered these two days ago in the evening.....will try them on the commute tomorrow.

And delivered a SON rear dynamo light, unfortunately my sinewave beacon charger/front light is still in parcel land and has been for over 3 days. All the way from the USA in a little over 24 hours, 3 days in The uk doing god knows what
Lots of non-bike stuff...more toys for the other hobby...cables, connectors, pedals, power solutions. If anyone has a good source for instrument/audio flight cases, pls let me know.

Look nice; how do you rate them?
First ride today!
My sealskinz deep winter lobster gloves were completely soaked through on Sunday after a couple of hours prompting this purchase. it's a shame as I have worn them in Finland and a couple of weekends ago in minus temps with no issues, as it was dry.....
Today was 20-30 mins of light rain with a claimed +1 degree and no ingress. My fingers felt the cold a bit but my circulation has been hammered by LEL!
