Clearout (racks, luggage, tyres, bars + levers)

Post by bearlymoving »

If you want to have a quick scan, everything's in this photo album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/yM3hOspJmqmjOcAG3

Cash via Paypal's gift mode. I'm in Manchester – if you're local and want to come and pick any of this stuff up, knock £5 off the price… (and cash in hand would obviously be fine).

Components

42cm Salsa Cowbell 3 handlebars, I'm sure they're sold as 42cm, even though they measure almost 44cm at the hoods and 46cm at the ends (I've ridden about 1000 miles on them):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/Xh35WatNm8Z24LKI2
https://photos.app.goo.gl/FpeUjcA3XfY89hvF2
https://photos.app.goo.gl/YhLst8IXil2fTWFj1
SOLD £45, shipped

Cane Creek SCR-5 brake levers, gum hoods (ridden for 1000 miles but virtually spotless):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/OY9pdzOgUjG0WvQn2
£20, shipped

160mm Shimano XT IceTec disc rotor (essentially new – fitted, incompatible with my calipers, never ridden):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/NYtP0RWS8OXdSZ1V2
SOLD £15, shipped

Pair of Compass Rat Trap Pass 26 x 2.3" tyres, extralight casing, black (new, one still in the packet, the other fitted then removed):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/anfAjf1skZGmNOXx2
SOLD £90 for the pair, shipped

Racks

Surly 24 pack front rack (used for a few months over summer):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/k0oWQkuiQTwIQW3R2
SOLD £80, shipped (if you also fancy the bag [below], you can have them both for £150)

Velo Orange Porteur front rack and light bracket (brand new, never fitted):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/clrWNb4RR2gWPs763
£110, shipped

Velo Orange Constructeur rear rack (brand new):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/P169Xx9kcLJx7a6B3
£40, shipped
You'll also need to either get the optional £5 strut for securing it to your brake bridge, or metal mudguards (to which this rack can be attached).

Carradice Bagman quick release adapter (I've got two, only need one):

Free!

Luggage

Surly Porteur House front bag (virtually spotless, used on just a few rides and a weekend tour):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/SGW7PaEstBq1HwLX2
https://photos.app.goo.gl/zWH7YApn0Z5KTMBl2
https://photos.app.goo.gl/d8q0fp4ku1ogyAKw1
SOLD £80, shipped (or £150 for the pair if you also want the 24 pack rack)

Fits Surly's 24 pack rack, or any other similarly sized porteur-style rack. You can fit an entire weekend's camping kit in it:

Here you can see my tent, thermarest, and quilt inside it, for scale:

See http://surlybikes.com/parts/cargo/porteur_house.

Vaude Aqua Back Plus 51 litre rear panniers (used for two 5 day tours and one weekend):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/yPF9AndM1IDw6Jte2
https://photos.app.goo.gl/d1FVxbL1pIYcpy6n1
£65 for the pair, shipped

They're similar to Ortlieb back rollers (i.e. totally waterproof) but, in my view, significantly better. The hooks lock onto the rack properly, and there's a stiff back panel to keep them out of the wheel. And they've got decent side pockets. They've also got internal document pockets and shoulder straps.

Ortlieb Ultimate 5 8.5 litre handlebar bag (used for two 5 day tours, and two weekend tours):

https://photos.app.goo.gl/bpdTW2Or2uL0pwy52
https://photos.app.goo.gl/FJ1acjJWEOrk9fo92
https://photos.app.goo.gl/2QnG9uSfZ5G4bht52
SOLD £40 shipped, including the following…

Padded camera insert and map case (which fits an OS map):
https://photos.app.goo.gl/llcZp3iHWaMpyjEJ3
https://photos.app.goo.gl/rTYRQnQdEolHHKhw2

There's a small tear in the corner of the map case, but a bit of tuff or gorilla tape would sort it.

There's an optional extension for the mounting bracket, in case you need to move it away from other stuff on your bars:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/MHu6KPqrekAhmFIf2

Depending on your handlebar setup, you might need to get a longer cable for the bracket. They're £5.99 on SJS.

I'll take the handlebar bag, if it's still available. (Sick of fishing camera out of over-stuffed luggage!)
Drop me a message with PayPal details and I'll get the dosh across later today.
