They put the PD600 in the sale but they've not had any in stock before the sale.
Sounds about right for Alpkit. The site seemed to be down for a while on Saturday as well, no doubt creaking under pressure. It could be better WRT stock levels and what's really available. Hey ho, mustn't grumble
The story behind those two man tents looks amusing though. I bet the air turned blue when the "boss" found out they'd order 500 in "crap" design. I wouldn't like to be the one that'd placed that
Cheeky Monkey wrote:Did everybody else know there's a sale on at Alpkit. Usual combo of odd sizes but cheap Ti pegs (), they're excellent candy canes and (surprisingly to me) the PD400 and 600 sleeping bags. I resisted and got some cheap beach towels instead
they're selling cheap as they're not happy with the design but after reading their comprehensive list of complaints it still seems like it might work as a 1kg-1.2kg cheap option for some folks.
this '2 person lightweight tent' from Alpkit looks interesting:
Your right Gairy, it certainly looks like it would make a good shelter of some sort. My initial thought was ditch the inner and use it as a 2 man tarp tent. It doesn't mention it on the website but I believe it has 2 entrances too.
i was looking on the Alpkit site in case they still had those semi-Hunkas for a fiver as you could have waterproofed a few yourself and got your cheap bivis you mentioned you're looking for in the other thread.
if that idea appeals to you then i bought two of 'em you could have off me to do just that.
Bike workstand with free Minoura multi-tool from Merlin. £49.95!
Great value. I think quite a few companies are knocking these out under their own name, Edinburgh Bike Co and Fat Spanner being two. I've had one of these for a few years and it's spot on. Even though they're fairly chunky, they fold up quite small.
