Re: London to Brighton gravel route Sat 25th August

I'm planning something similar from North London in the next couple of weeks and I've just come across this and noticed that there are a couple of closure notices in place. See link below.

Re: Moors One Hundred

Thanks for all the positives guys, it makes the many 200 mile trips to the area to recce, sort stuff out all worth it. Didn't get much time socialize, it went by in a flash. But a million thanks for turning up. On that note.... I have mixed feelings on wether to run it again. It was quite a bit of ...

Re: Garmin Dakota bike mount recommendation

Thanks everyone for the replies and comments.

As I have "more than one bike", I've ordered several of the cheap ebay ones, and will adjust as necessary and leash to the bike!

Re: Garmin Dakota bike mount recommendation

Is this the type that you guys are using?

Doesn't appear to be available from Garmin in UK, it's only on the US site.

Garmin Dakota bike mount recommendation

Can anyone recommend a decent, but not too expensive mount for the Dakota?

Brilliant write-up. Don't apologise for it being factual, it's perfect bloke reading!

That's one on my to-do list. I always fancied W-E, but I'm not so sure now.

I guess a lot of people have migrated to the FB group. However, good as it is, it's not a forum and doesn't feel the same!

The Ridgeway is such an easy route to do, as it’s all signposted. I’m thinking of doing it in the next couple of weeks if you’re interested.

GPS advice please!

Would prefer replaceable batteries and decent size colour screen. Do they come with OS type mapping or can I download this separately? I'm not looking for the lates...

Re: Fingerless Gloves

Louis Garneau Biogel gets my vote. Gel pads in perfect positions, towelling to thumbs, and mesh backs. I normally swear by Gore stuff, but these are way more comfortable than my Gore gloves. Just back from an 80 mile ride on the road bike, a fair portion of which was on rough tracks (I now understan...

I've ridden westbound from Streatley and back, and It's a great ride (in dry conditions).

A lot of it will be boring as a walk though!
